Big changes at LSV and what they mean for you

What’s changed?

As of 24 February 2025, Lumley Special Vehicles (LSV) Insurance stopped selling Classic Car Insurance to customers in ACT, NSW, NT, QLD, SA, TAS and WA.

Eligible LSV customers with a policy renewal date on or after 20 April 2025 may be invited to consider renewing with NRMA Insurance at renewal time.

If you’re not eligible to renew with NRMA Insurance, we’ll let you know before your LSV Insurance policy expires.

What this change means for you

Your LSV Classic Car Insurance policy will continue with the same product benefits and features until it expires.

You can still make a claim as usual by calling us on 133 578.

We’ll contact you as usual before renewal time and if you’re eligible, your renewal pack will show you how to renew with NRMA Insurance. To help you decide if you would like to renew with NRMA Insurance, your renewal pack will explain the renewal process, as well as differences between your current LSV Insurance policy and the new NRMA Insurance policy.

To ensure you make an informed decision:

  • Read all documents and check that all your details are correct. Contact us if any changes are required.
  • Ensure that you read the Product Disclosure Statement (PDS) together with your Certificate of Insurance (COI).
  • Check the excess shown is right for you, as it may have changed.
  • Check that any optional benefits listed on your new COI meet your needs and that any listed drivers are shown.
  • Check the sums insured on your COI are still appropriate for you.
