Policy Features and Benefits - Comprehensive Car Insurance

  • Choice of repairer
    We understand how important it is for our customer to have a say in who repairs their car after an accident – that’s why we provide you with choice of repairer. It’s your car and your choice!

  • Agreed value
    Having an agreed value policy means that in the unfortunate event that your car is deemed a total loss you will have the peace of mind of knowing exactly what the payout figure will be.

  • Salvage rights
    If your car is over 25 years of age and is involved in an accident where it is a total loss, you will be given the option to retain the unrepaired vehicle in addition to being paid out the agreed value of the car.

  • Limited usage cover
    Why should you be paying the same as someone who drives their car every day? If you use your car infrequently let us know so we can ensure that your premium reflects the limited usage.

  • Lifetime guarantee on repairs
    For your peace of mind, we guarantee the workmanship and materials on all repairs authorised by us for the life of the car, as long as you own the car.

  • No blame, no penalty
    If you have an accident that is not your fault and you can tell us the other party’s name, address and/or registration number, then no excess applies.

  • Laid up cover
    If you are in the process of restoring your car and it is not being driven, let us know as you may be eligible for a reduced premium.

  • Emergency accommodation
    If your car is damaged or stolen and you are more than 200kms from home, we will cover up to $1,000 towards emergency accommodation and journey costs.

  • 30 million legal liability
    Under our policy, you have the peace of mind that you are covered for up to $30,000,000 worth of legal liability against loss or damage to someone else’s property, caused by the use of your car.

  • Trailer cover
    If a trailer that is attached to your insured vehicle, is accidentally damaged or stolen, we will cover up to $1,000 towards costs of repairing or replacing the trailer.

  • Choose your standard excess
    You have the option of increasing your excess to save money on your premium.

  • Theft of keys and recoding
    If the keys to your car are stolen, we will pay for the repairs, replacement or recoding of your vehicle keys, locks and barrels up to $1,500.

Make a claim

We’ve made the claims process as simple as giving us a call. No paperwork and no confusing process. We’re here to help you, so when you’re ready call us on 133 578.

What information will I need?

No forms to complete, lodging a claim with us is as simple as providing us with the following information:

  • What happened, when and where, and details of who was involved, ie. name, address and registration number.
  • Once we have the above information at hand, we can discuss getting your car back on the road. Remember, for your peace of mind you have choice of repairer as well as we guarantee the workmanship and materials on all repairs authorised by us for the life of the car.

Update your policy

Make a payment

Lumley Special Vehicles provides you with a number of ways to pay for your policy.

Visa or Mastercard over the phone

Have your card details and payment reference number handy and give us a call on 133 578.

B-Pay

Pay your insurance via Internet or phone banking. All you need is your Biller Code 72439 and your reference number (located at the bottom left hand corner of your account next to the B-PAY symbol) and the amount owing to make a payment. Contact your financial institution to make a payment from your nominated account.

Mail

Please enclose your cheque or money order with the payment slip and send it to: Lumley Special Vehicles, PO BOX 16042, Collins Street West, VIC 8007.

Direct debit

Pay for your Comprehensive policy – annual or monthly by contacting us on 133 578 and nominate a savings or cheque account, Visa or MasterCard to deduct the amount due.
